About Us

Lambada Hakkula Vedika a non-government social development organization, founded by a group of committed individuals to initiate developmental interventions. The primary goal of the organization is to facilitate developmental interventions among the poor and deprived, tribal, scheduled and other backward communities, across the state of Andhra Pradesh. The organization is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1350 Fasli, bearing a registration No. 1679/2006. Since its inception Lambada Hakkula Vedika, has taken up various interventions for protecting and promoting the rights of tribal communities, apart facilitating developmental interventions for their socio-economic and cultural empowerment, with a special emphasis on children, women and youth.

Objective

Undertake educational activities for the betterment of poor and the needy without any consideration of caste, creed, color, religion, language or nationality. Promote and support a large number of sustainable livelihoods among the rural/urban/tribal poor to help they achieve a better quality of life. To promote and protect the rights of the tribal and other scheduled backward communities for their socio-economic, Educational and cultural development. Protect female from infanticide among the tribal Communities. Undertaken activities for building the capacities of the communities to fight for their atrocities and ensure social justice and equality. Facilitate developmental interventions for to poor and marginal communities through various activities.

Core Activities

Girl Child Protection: Since the inception of the organization, protection of the girl children is one of the major activities. The organization is actively involved in campaigning for girl child protection in tribal habitations where the incidences of female infanticide are more. Over a period of time the organization has rescued more than 50 Girl children from being infanticide and admitted them into various Government Run Shelter homes. Youth Fellowship: Empowering of young people to work as change agents of the society is one of the significant activity being undertaken by the organization towards this the organization has supported fellowship to the tribal youth with the support of HID Forum, a Bangalore based organization.
